Sealing

7 questions

We recommend sealing your driveway every 2-3 years.

Sealcoating takes 24-48 hours to dry depending on weather and direct sunlight on the driveway. Typically 48 hours during early spring and fall.

Sealcoating is a preventive and cosmetic maintenance that helps extend the life of the driveway by applying a water based sealant to protect the asphalt from UV rays, water damage, oil spills, and everyday wear, while also restoring a smooth, dark finish that improves the overall appearance of your driveway.

Yes, we fill large, isolated cracks between 1/8" to 1/2" in width with a rubberized crack filler. During the curing process the material may constrict & settle into the cracks, causing the filler to open. We do not apply crack filler to hairline, edge, or spider-web cracks. Cracks will not disappear and could reopen as early as that day.

We hand apply the sealer using a brush.

No, sealcoating is a liquid that cures to the already existing driveway. Any depressions in the asphalt require paving work to fix.

Yes, we offer discounted pricing when you and a neighbor schedule service for the same day!

Paving

9 questions

Most driveways can be completed in one day, but larger projects may take longer.

New asphalt typically has a slightly rough texture at first. It will become smoother after sealcoating, which is recommended 10-12 months after paving.

We recommend staying off the driveway for at least 3 days after paving. You can walk on it the same day.

We are typically 2-3 weeks out, but we may be able to schedule sooner depending on the size of the driveway.

We offer a 2-year warranty on driveway replacements and a 1-year warranty on repairs, additions, and overlays. This warranty covers the formation of potholes and significant sinking or settling. This warranty does not cover damage caused by commercial vehicles or heavy equipment.

A driveway can typically last 15+ years depending on usage. Repeated heavy truck or equipment traffic can shorten the lifespan.

We use VDOT-approved SM 9.5 asphalt, designed for residential driveways.

We recommend waiting at least 10-12 months after paving before sealcoating.

Even small repairs require a full crew and equipment to be mobilized onsite, which can be costly. In many cases, it is more cost-effective to wait and repave the entire driveway. Repairs will also remain visible, even after sealcoating.

Gutter Cleaning

4 questions

We recommend cleaning your gutters at least twice a year, typically in the spring and fall.

Yes, all gutter debris is bagged and removed from the property once the job is complete.

We remove gutter debris from the roof, gutters, and downspouts, and clean up and haul away all debris from the property.

We can drive in loose gutter nails during the service if needed.
